I've not really stopped picking up figures, but the last time I added to my collection in any way was in 2023 - an Aloy nendoroid, which I preordered in 2022. And before that, some other P/O's and ebay scouting for Ashe's nendoroid (she was expensive in the aftermarket, but I got her).

The thing is is like. I have such a hard time taking care of myself with all my health problems I have not been able to dust my flat in three years. I tried, last summer; insert wisdom teeth issues. I should try again, but I am once again in a state of if I move my abdomen too much in any direction, I feel cripplingly nauseous and sick. If I can't clean what I already have, and most of my figures are still in boxes, it follows I shouldn't get more. I have the money to do so, I just. Feel like I shouldn't. A no cleaning Rems does not deserve visual closure enrichment. But I really would like to at last get a display cabinet set up somewhere, and there are still some...

KOTOBUKIYA

The first is the My Little Pony Bishojo Kotobukiyas. This is a beautiful set: I only picked up three of the mane six (Twilight, Rarity, and Applejack, so, my favourites) plus Luna the first time they were released as I couldn't really afford it, and I have regretted this decision ever since. I'm not actively into this series at all anymore, but it was important to me then, I still think of my girls fondly, and they are so gorgeous. Absolute mane six need at least. The Rainbow Dash design is so good.

I also finally saw her for less than £200 on ebay in the UK and I maybe possibly bought her. This is The Shepard Figure, to me.

NENDOROIDS / FIGMAS
Actually, just one of each, unless I go about finding myself an Amu from somewhere (I did have her preordered but the store I bought her from went under, as did many of the other UK stores I've been using for fifteen plus years. A few more have cropped up since or gained prominence following their departure and have decent reviews, which is where I'd source most of this list from.)

For nendoroids, Faye Valentine. Rems, you have not watched Cowboy Bebop. No, I have not. But this to me is now Ashe merch. Do you know how rare of an occurrence that is. Heck, if I want the Japan only released Ashe merch I am now considering a proxy so I can get the Ashe merch that exists. I look at her and think, Ashe. This is worth any cost.

The figma is Zelda from Tears of the Kingdom. My main pause for her is the cost - her price tag is hefty, over £100, extremely high for a figma - but I feel I need something of her. Breath of the Wild is a game I tried, extremely hard, to play, but it had too many gameplay feature misgivings that I genuinely cannot tolerate; the worst of these is weapons breaking. Anytime I watch someone play Botw/Totk, I physically recoil when I hear a weapon break :') Add to that enemy scaling and periodic resets and my anxiety and infuriation had to put the game down after twenty hours. For a game that promotes exploration, it felt like it punished you for that, and I was not really about it.

Botw was an okay game to me, and I watched a trusted streamer play Tears of the Kingdom when it came out. The scenery is as gorgeous as Botw, but the actual gameplay mechanics, the story, the music, the tiered areas stacked on top of each other (Gravity Rush my beloved) was incredible. And I didn't expect to walk out with what might be one of my favourite games that I cannot ever play for myself. Absolutely wild.

Zelda, character, made me cry multiple times in Totk. The reveals are just. Heartwrenching and so good. Last May, on Totk's anniversary, I went back to watch that same lets play again. As it is now May, I am watching it for a third time. I think I'll be doing this with Totk for years to come. Which brings me back to the figma; it's either this or some other scale which will probably be even less affordable. I'll have to give it a look...

Also this is not a figma but whilst browsing I discovered a korok plush with a backpack (he needs to reach his friend) and also a P5 Morgana plush and I need the annoying boy squad alright.

POP UP PARADE

I am still waiting on the Shepard and Garrus PUPs that got announced three years ago, almost to the day. They are probably dead. Tragic.

Otherwise: Noir/Haru! I actually started off getting the P5 nendos when they were coming out but stopped. Haru's nendo saw a rerelease but I think I prefer her PUP, the pose is super cute.

There's also a few Three Houses PUPs but I am not like. Super attached to those. I think the only other PUP I have is for the Traveller from Journey, it's not a brand I really got into.

STATUES

The Lightning and Lucina statues are gorgeous. But they are simply too much. Lucina's RRP is ~£150 but the lowest you can get her is £300. Honey I love you but there has to be a limit and £300 might be it when I already have her figma. Lightning is a similar case of well, I already have a play arts of her... hngh. I miss the days when £100 for a Kotobukiya/the Lyndis statue was about the highest they would go.

Otherwise, I constantly come back to the Nanas.

I have stared at them repeatedly online for years. They are also very expensive (about £370 for both), but. Sapphic Rems needs these in her life.
