Kotobukiya wants my money. Kotobukiya shall have my money.
It's been twenty years but we are getting scale Shugo Chara! figures.
For a late 2000s manga/anime, Shugo Chara! got very little in the way of merch, and I own... quite a bit of it... I always said Amu would make a spectacular nendoroid, and she got one of her school design - I'm still waiting for Amulet Diamond, GSC - and there's now like, a weird sequel manga I have not read ala Clear Card so it's been getting pop up shop acrylic merch and new art to accompany said merch, but nothing bigger than that. And then yesterday Kotobukiya shows up for Anime Expo with first, the Queen Chrysalis Bishojo figure concept and prototype (we'll get to that) and out of literally nowhere, Amu and Utau scales.
My girlies... the cross base and the butterfly base... I feign no resistance, I have waited for this day for twenty! Years!! I am envisioning their different outfits and what if they make an Ikuto scale, the original catboy... I need them.
Chrysalis looks really really good. I love the outfits they come up with for these so much, they're so chef's kiss - that's half the reason I want them, it's just the creativity and variance of so many different fashion styles. This is Cadence's, who was revealed in January but has nothing finished yet:
Greco-roman princess vibes!! I unfortunately kind of really want both of these too. At this rate the only MLP Bishojo's I will not have are Celestia and Sunset Shimmer. Help.
